Gloria Gemma 5K set for Sunday, October 13, 2013 In 2009, the Gloria Gemma Breast Cancer Resource Foundation hosted its first 5K, in downtown Providence. As 2013 brings the 5th anniversary of the Gloria Gemma 5K, we are taking this event to the next level. Now, we welcome four great events at the inaugural Flames of Hope Run/Walk Series! Gloria Gemma 5K Run / Walk 11:15 am  This sanctioned course is open to competitive athletes and the not-so-competitive walkers/runners. Come ready to race or stroll your way through historic downtown Providence wearing your "pink spirit" driven garb. Great prizes will be awarded for the fastest times and highest fundraisers!  Gloria Gemma 10K Run 11:15 am New this year, presented by Rejuvaderm MediSpa! This 6.21 mile race is dedicated to runners of all skill levels. Awards will be given to the top three men and women finishers. Get your pink on, and be part of this new and exciting race! Kids  Fun Run 10:30 am  Open to children 12 years old and younger. Kids run down the hill on Francis Street (across from Providence Place Mall) and compete for great prizes. Top prizes will be awarded at the Flames of Hope Run/Walk Series awards ceremony.  * Registration is just $5 for kids 12 and under until Wednesday, October 9, 2013. On-site registration for kids will be $20 so register today and save!  Pink Pump Palooza 10:15 am  A fifty-yard dash that is open to men and women. Be the first to cross the finish line in style, wearing your festively decorated high heels. Stick around, because the fun doesn't end with the races. We are throwing a Flames of Hope Run/Walk Series block party with food, live music and lots of fun! The Flames of Hope Run/Walk Series is the Foundation's largest fundraiser.
